When we think of Labor Day, most of us refer to it as “the three day weekend” holiday.  As a matter of fact, this American holiday is a yearly national tribute to all those hard working men and women that have contributed to workforce change for the country.  Every first Monday of September, we celebrate these social and economic achievements of American workers.  But, yes it is also a three day holiday weekend.  So how will you celebrate this Labor Day?  Here are a few ideas!

The local Angelinos have the beach, this is true.  Definitely expect it to be overly packed as well!  If you are looking for something different however, check out The Taste, hosted by the Los Angeles Times.  Filled with chef panels, live cooking demos (and oh so much wine) this cool event takes place in the Paramount Studios all labor weekend long.  Getting your grub on in a Hollywood backlot is as different as it gets.

If you are in beautiful New York City this Labor Day weekend, why not head down to the West Side County fair? You do not have to travel far and wide to the countryside to enjoy a good ol’ fair.  Filled with live bands, show performers, games and carnival rides, the fair is the perfect remedy to all the hustle and bustle we do Monday through Friday.  Oh, and do not forget the cotton candy!
