Aug 23, 2013 10:01:06 AM

Are you stuck with a design problem?  Do you want to save money on Do It Yourself projects?  All you have to do is look no further than your computer.  You Tube is full of people sharing what they know.  Why would people share their ideas?  I think it comes with the gratefulness of solving their own concerns and they just want other people to be able to do for themselves as well.

Don’t forget to consider including shiny materials in your design like glass, acrylic, chrome, and mirror.  We have a number of these exciting elements in our furniture throughout our site.  In fact, we have just added mirrors and mirrored furniture in our new products category.  For the modern look you may like to incorporate clear and translucent furniture.  Functional, beautiful, almost invisible, provides as much comfort just as any other piece.

Seating Clearance Concerns

Aug 14, 2013 10:12:32 AM

I thought I would post some information that would answer some basic concerns when it comes to seating.  For office chairs, bar stools, and counter stools it is convenient to purchase seating that has a height adjustable option to it.  There is no doubt that within a household there are varying heights of people living there. Sometimes one size doesn’t fit all.

So you want to redecorate but you don’t know where to start?  The first thing is to know what style you want.  If you are not sure, browse through design magazines such as Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, or look at pictures in the style you like online at places like Houzz.com.  What do you like?  Do you like Modern, Contemporary, Eclectic, Traditional, or Shabby Chic?

You Can Create

Jul 26, 2013 9:43:00 AM

They say necessity is the mother of invention.  I tend to agree with that statement.  First there has to be a need, then, because you need something, you will find ways of getting that item or product that will improve your life in some way.  If you can’t find a product that suites your needs perfectly, the next step is to make it.  This is how design is born.  Design is born out of our need to problem solve.  Design is intentionally planning your thoughts out in order to have a desired outcome or product.

Say Goodbye to Drab and Boring

Jul 24, 2013 9:52:00 AM

Do you ever get tired of the colors of your environment?  Are you tired of creams, beiges, and grays?  I understand, especially in the Spring and Summer when you want to break out and live lively.  Why not bring in some color to your surroundings?  Have you ever noticed how pretty and bright colors make you feel happy?  Just seeing colors such as orange, blue, yellow, red, green, and purple can enliven your outlook.

Alternative Window Treatments

Jul 10, 2013 9:52:12 AM

Do you remember how great it is to find something you were not expecting?  Well I have found something that I would like everyone to know as a potential resource to expand their design possibilities.  It may already be well known to others, yet others may not know about this secret that I have found.  I stumbled on it when I went to look for UV film for the windows.  With the window advancements in insulation, many times window treatments are not needed as much to keep the weather conditions outside of your home.  So now it is time to start thinking of alternative window treatments.

Personalizing Your Work Space

Jul 5, 2013 10:01:15 AM

Personalizing your office space can prove beneficial in easing your stress at work. While you don’t want to be audacious, you do want to personalize your work area with sentimental things or items that bring a smile to your face. Consider personalizing a few office supplies such as your stapler, rulers, organization tools, calendar, pictures, mantra’s or sayings that you believe strongly about. You can also personalize your space with a plant or two. Maybe you can bring in a small bulletin board and place it in your workspace to remind you of what is important to you. Your pictures will also help remind you of why you are working in the first place, to provide for yourself and your family.
