Creating Warmth This Time of Year

Depending on where you live in the country it is going to start getting cold and gloomy very soon. It is time to make preparations for the cold, such as bringing in those winter clothes and heavy blankets from the garage or deep inside your closet. If you have a working fireplace then you are blessed. Hey, you know they sell decorative fireplaces now right? That is not too bad of an idea to include, something to think about in addition to turning on the heater. Keep several colorful throws around to not only add warmth but also easily grab when you want to get cozy, they should be all over the place and easy to find, even at your local Walgreens. Consider the fabrics in your room. Here is where you want to make sure you have the luxury of soft and fluffy texture, consider flannel sheets too.
Are you a sewer? No problem if you’re not, they sell these handy hand held stitch machines now. You can find them at Kmart, Wal-Mart, and Target, for cheap, oh yea, online too. You can find some fabric that has texture and color and create your own pillows and throws. Look for warm colors such as oranges, yellows, and reds to create a sense of warmth within your rooms. If you don’t like those colors, that’s fine as long as you find other colors with some nice texture to them, such as Minky Cuddle Dimple Dot Violet or Kasper Astrid Geo Chenille Jacquard Crimson in brown or blue from fabric.com.
Don’t you just love shopping from home? It makes life so much easier. Shopping for me has always been a chore, I don’t find driving out to the mall, looking and looking for that perfect item that matches my needs, going to several stores enjoyable. Perhaps if I was just browsing, but not when I know what I am looking for, I just want to get in and get out, much like guys do I guess. I would much rather use my mind and fingers find the proper keywords to do my walking and driving. I guess I am a bit of a homebody that way, who cares, I am content.
Oh yea, don’t forget the other option of adopting a homeless pet at a shelter or adoption fair near you. Nothing beats a living fluff ball to hug and hold! Don’t forget I am here for you in the sales department. I can help you with your furniture shopping at least. You can call me or hit that orange call out button on the bottom right of your screen between 8:30 and 5:00 Pacific Standard Time. Have a great weekend everyone!!
