Pantone color of the year is here! For those of you who don’t know, Pantone is a global color authority as well as a color consulting company, and each year they pick a color that symbolizes design trends and moods. Last year, Pantone picked the color ‘Greenery’ for its color of the year, and it seems like everyone loves it. As for the year 2018, Pantone has chosen the color... drumroll please… Ultra Violet! According to their website, this gorgeous vibrant and stormy-looking purple shade “communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future”, just like what we need in our world today. Pantone Color of the Year is a big deal especially for designers and brands, as it will definitely set trends for fashion, furniture, interiors, beauty, and many more. The question is, how can we incorporate this color into our house? Here are some ideas:

Go Big or Go Home

It’s a new year and a new color, why don’t you have a new wall as well? If you’re tired with your plain white walls, maybe it’s time to add more color to it. Changing the wall color into Ultra Violet will definitely transform the mood of the whole room. If you don’t want something too intense, try coloring only one side of the wall. This could be done in your bedroom, living room, bathroom, or even kitchen.
