What’s better than a night where you get to be lazy on your couch watching Netflix while eating pizza and ice cream? The answer is… doing all of that with your furry friends AKA your cats and/or dogs! However, every pet owner knows the struggle: letting your furry baby jump to your sofa can be risky, as they can scratch, tear, and shed on your favorite sofa. This week, let’s take a look at how to share a couch with your pet(s) without sacrificing style and comfort.

1. Bathe and Groom your Pet Regularly

Do these to keep them clean and to get rid of that funky odor smell. Just for your information, daily brushing can reduce the amount of loose fur of your pet, and trimming the nails can prevent them from scratching your sofa.

2. Don’t Forget to Vacuum your Sofa

The amount of time you should spend on vacuuming your sofa depends on your pet and how much they shed. However, the more often –the better, and you should still do it at least 2-3 times a week. Getting yourself a vacuum cleaner that specializes in effectively removing fur from your home is a great investment too.

3. Try to stay away from Sofa made of Rayon, Acetate, Silk, and Linen, since they are not a good choice for a pet-friendly upholstery fabric. Instead, choose a fabric that you would buy for a heavy usage area such as Leather and Microfiber. Both Leather and Microfiber sofas are long-lasting, and they are also easy to clean and maintain. Lucky for you, we have a great variation of leatherette and microfiber sofa that is both stylish and comfortable for you and your furry friend(s)!
