The wood pieces are sculpture, visible through the top, arranged in an intriguing top to bottom fashion. Noguchi designed the Noguchi Table for the Museum of Modern Art (Mo Ma) in New York celebrating the marriage between form and function; and it offers its owner a structure that is both scultpture and furniture.

Tribeca coffee table is quality reproduction manufactured to almost the exact same specifications as the original Noguchi table. The only difference between our Tribeca table and the oringinal Noguchi table is that the Noguchi table has a standard Isamu Noguchi carved signature on the side of the glass top. This rounded-corner triangle coffee base with an interesting interlocking wooden base, provides a good sized table top.Would you like to buy a simple table with interesting “twist”? Check out this classic design, and you are definitely going to love it!

  • - Solid Dry Wood Base (also available in black and natural)
  • - 3/4'' Glass Table Top

Note: For legs' walnut color, lease refer to the pictures taken of the legs only.

About Isamu Noguchi

Isamu Noguchi (November 17, 1904 - December 30, 1988), was a prominent Japanese American artist and landscape architect. Throughout his life he struggled to see, alter, and recreate his natural surroundings.Known for his sculpture and public works, Noguchi's furniture work is often considered to be the most influential body of modern furniture.

Isamu Noguchi was born Isamu Gilmour in Los Angeles in 1904 to Leonie Gilmour, an Irish-American teacher and editor, and Yone Noguchi, a Japanese poet. He enrolled in Columbia University to study medicine, while at the same time taking sculpture classes on the Lower East Side. It wasn’t long before he realized that art, not medicine, was his true calling. Noguchi died in December of 1988 at the age of 84, but his influence continues to spread. His classic designs — notably his Akari lamps and his free-form coffee table — have never been more popular.
